If you are searching for a new house or property for sale in Rawang, this moment is one of the best times to research & hunt for it. Find out why.

Most people would know Rawang as a mining industrial town which was established in 1825. This town, located in the state of Selangor in Malaysia, is approximately 25 kilometres northwest of the capital city centre Kuala Lumpur. Rawang has since been recognized as one of the earliest ‘satellite towns' to the capital city centre.

Later on, Rawang has rapidly grown due to having the first-ever electricity usage in Malaysia, and being the first town to have electric street lights! Over the years, Rawang expanded even more as rubber estates, cement factories, oil palm plantations and industrial areas were established. This promotes job availability as many different people came from many places, and makes for Rawang's current diverse multi-racial population.

Rawang has a population of more than 120,000 (2018 figures) and growing, and is experiencing rapid development with many new commercial and residential areas being constructed. Rawang has many housing neighbourhoods old and new, for example, M Residences, Bandar Country Homes, Bandar Tasik Puteri, Emerald East and West, Rawang Putra and many more. Recently, new upscale gated-and-guarded neighbourhoods have sprung up, with guardhouses and perimeter fencing for added security and privacy.

According to EdgeProp.my, the sale price of a non-landed property apartment or condominium starts from RM234,981 for 3 bedrooms, with a rental yield of 4.97%. And as for landed homes, sale price starts from RM369,801 for 3 bedrooms.

To keep up with the rapid growth of Rawang, there are a number of shopping centres in Rawang which includes Tesco, Parkson, AEON, and Giant. There are also facilities like recreational parks, police stations, gas stations, hardware stores, auto repair shops, banks, clinics, surau, mosques, churches, post offices and night markets. For golf enthusiasts, there is Tasik Puteri Golf & Country Club and Bukit Beruntung Golf & Country Club.

One of the biggest draw for property developers to Rawang is its natural landscape and beauty, thanks to its wealth of rainforest reserves, lakes and parks. A prominent landmark is Templer Park, a 1,214-hectare rainforest reserve with a waterfall that is a popular spot for hiking and camping. The Templer Park Rainforest Retreat and Templer Park Country Club are located there as well. Also, there is Taman Eko Rimba Kanching Waterfalls and the Commonwealth Forest Park and Resort in Bukit Lagong Forest Reserve which covers green foliage of over 1,482 acres. These are incredible places to enjoy nature and fresh air whilst still being located in the Klang Valley.

To reach the Kuala Lumpur city centre, it is just about 25 minutes' drive from Rawang town centre. This can be done via the Rawang Interchange EXIT 116 from the North-South Expressway, the Guthrie Corridor Expressway from Rawang South Interchange EXIT 115, the Kuala Lumpur–Kuala Selangor Expressway from Rawang South Interchange EXIT 115, the B27 road from Batang Berjuntai, or the trunk road to Rawang.

For those opting for public transport, Rawang has its own KTM train station, with trains going through the Tanjung Malim-Port Klang Route, as well as the electric-powered KTM ETS trains serving the station.
